[Hammarlund] What the heck is this thing??

Hello All,

I am in the process of restoring a grey panel 120-x. 
During the re-capping, I discovered a odd looking component 
located near the front panel portion of the bandswitch. It is 
radial, one side is soldered to the chassis, the other side is 
just hanging there (obviously burnt). Looks like it was once 
connected to the second bandswitch wafer. It has a 
aluminum case, is about 3/4" long, somewhat smaller in diameter than a pencil with a odd looking tab. Looks somewhat like a modern Tantalum cap but is obviously quite old. Stamped on the case is the number 6211 - I assume that is a Hammarlund p/n but the bill of materials in my manual does not include that number and so far I have not been find what it might be from the schematic. I suppose I have two questions: Is there a database somewhere that has the Hammarlund part numbers and descriptions? And what the heck is this thing in my 120-x?
