Dyed-in-the-wool R-390 fans probably know of Jan Skirrow.  He's a nice 
Canadian neighbor who has a website largely devoted to R-390(A) tips and 
tweaks. He's also begun marketing a series of nifty SSB detector kits 
for that receiver. You may have seen them on eBay recently.

Well, yesterday Jan told me that he's working a a version of his SSB 
detector specifically for the SP-600. Today he says he's a few weeks 
from a production version. 

I unilaterally volunteered to ask if there's any interest in such an 
item among us SP-600 aficiandos.  If so, you can let Jan know directly 
at jan at skirrow.org, or tell me and I'll pass along the message. 

I have no business connection with Jan at all, but I do champion 
entrepreneurship and the development of neater toys for us.
