[Hammarlund] Sunday HCI Net Despite Blizzard

If the power remains on, there will be a HCI 20 meter Net on Sunday January
23rd. The pre-Net will commence at 12:45 PM EST, (1745 UTC). The Net proper will
start at 1:15 PM EST, (1815 UTC). The frequency will be 14.293 MHZ usb +/- for
key clicks, mike splatter and the old North Wind whistling the theme tune for
the NWS, something like "There She Blows, Under The Desk I Goes!" 	
	
Outside it is blizzard conditions with eight inches on the ground, more frosty
flakes falling and the wind whistling at 24 MPH out of the North and gusting to
40 MPH. It was so nasty at the Zoo in the state capitol, Lansing, that the
Penguins refused to come out of their shelters for a Seal blubber snack cake
seasoned with garlic and Musk Oxen ear wax. Can't say as I blame them either!
Yuck! Won't those elected state representatives be surprised early Monday
morning when they bite into the jelly filled doughnuts! Who was it that said,
"Waste not, want not"? In this particular case, perhaps it should read, "Waist
not, eat naught"! 	
	
If I do not show up about 12:20 PM EST, (1720 UTC), to do my NCS duties, I hope
that one of you will assume the role and carry on in my absence! Hopefully I
will be there to fry some flakes with the Hustler 6BTV buried up to its top hat
in glistening white snow. Hey! Do they still work like that?
