[Hammarlund] Hey Guys

You need to realize that all Phil does is play with radios eighteen hours every
darn day of the year! He is not hooked, he is turning into one! His idea of a
dream date is running out of gas on a country road at 1:00 AM beside an old farm
house with a Atwater Kent floor console tossed in the manure pile! He has had
more radios than Liz Taylor has husbands!
Go Phil!

Hi Stanley,
I do <grin>. This receiver "Works for a living" and isn't just sitting
on a shelf to look "pretty". It is used MANY hours a day (on an
otherwise slow day perhaps 12 or more hours) for SWLing and DXing. And
it's a REAL pain in the rump to have to use a SS "spotting receiver" to
determine your frequency so it can go in the log book. Not to mention
that you have to have it set up so that both receivers share antennas
etc, and some of the things I hear on the SP-600 is only a whisper on
the Icom!
Not to worry. The installation was done "painlessly" as the mod is
easily reversible with no ill effects. The display is mounted with
Velcro to the face of the shelf that overhangs the receiver. The
associated BNC connector is mounted in the hole that is usually reserved
for the (non existent) Delta Tune control of the Xtal oscillator.
