Craig et.al.

Proceed as follows:

1) Procure a Northern Radio Corporation Model 105 Master oscillator. (The
TMC VMO-5 will do just as well or better, but is harder to find. Similar
external oscillators were made for diversity setups with the Hammarlund,
Collins and TMC radios, though I can't quote model numbers.)

2) Modify your radio to accept the signals (Local Oscillator VFO, and BFO
if needed)

3) Cable it all up, figure out the frequencies needed for operation, let
the master Oscillator settle down for a few days, and enjoy rock stable
operation.

Oh, you want readout accuracy? Get one of those after market external
frequency readouts.. cost maybe $350. (The NRC master oscillator is set to
frequency by reference to calibration curves and possibly a frequency
counter. The TMC VMO is direct reading on the fundamental but you still
have to calculate LO frequency needed and multiply up if on the higher
bands.)

What a cobble job that would be!
