[Hammarlund] SP600-JX17 Availability

Hello,

A while ago I did a WTB post to the 'BA" list (316 members) for a
restorable
SP600-JX17. I received two responses. One person had a beauty that I
could'nt afford, and the other gentleman I am still communicating with.

Osterman's 1998 edition of "Shortwave Receivers Past and Present" lists
this receiver as common. In fact I have read somewhere lately that they
are still in use today for fixed point HF comm.

Are these radios indeed getting scarce, or is it that people won't part
with
them?
