Where do you live. Where I live most radio are useless as the noise 
level is very bad.
I have yet seen a TV H.V. sweep any higher then 7 to 8 Mhz znd only at 
night. I have
found that cordless phone will cause problems. What you may have to do 
is do some
detective work. Shut everything of in the house, all electronics. If 
that does not work
then if you have a very good portable radio that tunes the 10 meters 
then go searching
with it. If all else does not work then get the scope out and check the 
radio for Osc. in
the receiver. Make shore all Oscilators are clean and pure clean sine 
wave. If all is clean
then it is from out side sources. Even if you have disconected the ANT. 
and it when away
it could be on noise or signal there could be a beat from a unclean amp. 
or oscilator.
