You are correct. I should have noticed that; however, I still can't get good
overall gain. I tried signals on 160 meters and still have a deaf receiver.

I'm using a B&K 2050 generator for anything needed above 100 khz. For the 60
khz IF strip I'm using a function generator (cheap PC project board) with a
counter to measure frequency. Neither of these have a calibrated output but
both are adjustable.

I've got an HQ-180 that is similar. I'm thinking of comparing the two side
by side to get an idea where the signal is lost. I might even cross couple
one to the other for clues.

I need a bigger bench!
