Al, & the Group
Many thanks for this information!
I've always wanted a HQ-180 series, and when the opportunity to buy this local,
I just couldn't resist the temptation to buy it. It was owned by a local Ham,
(who I new) and he kept in good shape. Like I said, other then
his'modifications' it's original. There was also a HQ-170 available, but I
declined the offer to buy that. Good price $200 CDN! Imagine, the price of these
units back when they where new. I still remember the price for a 180A back in
1969 for $845 CDN and that was from a Dealer in London, Ontario.
Again many thanks and I do appreciate the fact that this news group is active!
