Hi John,
    I know you've been fighting this problem for a cupla weeks.  I know how
frustrating that sort of thing is.
    Why don't we make some comparative voltage & resistance measurements on
your rcvr & one of mine?  We can look at points in the ckt together & see
what's different.  The few times that I've had such a problem & had a good
example closeby have helped a lot, but it's a rare occurence.  Maybe even
talking it thru together on the air will point out something.  Sun. PM is a
lousy time to have a quiet QSO on 20m, let's try it a different time.  I'll
probably not be at home most of Mon., but I can make some measurements today
or early tmw.
