[Hammarlund] SP 600 JX 17

Folks, I just went in and soldered wires to the send/receive switch and
attached them to the relay and now the SP 600 JX 17 mutes as it should. I
thought it might have a rear chassis connection for this purpose but I
didn't see one and no one replied to my posting to the reflector to give me
the benefit of their knowlege and experience.a

I now must try to find out why the BFO doesn't work. Even AM operation is
made easier when the received station can be zero beat and the AM
transmitter zeroed to the received signal.

Seems like removing knobs that are stuck, painting front panels and other
mechaincal matters get more responses than electronic querries on many
reflectors. I hope this isn't one of them. 73, John, K5PGW
