Hi Dan,
    Is the power supplied to the rcvr at all times, even when turned off?
If you happen to cut the power by using a "power strip" or pulling the
main shack breaker, etc, it'll drift for over an hour when you turn it on.
The "A" models have a separate filament transformer that is on all the
time, to keep the filaments lit in the 1st mixer & 1st oscillator.

    I have a hq-180a that I think drifts a little more than normal. I
changed the 6C4 tube with a new one and the results are still the same.
What could cause the drift? always goes lower.  Dan
