[Hammarlund] SP-600 Knobs Having rivets

I forgot about the SP-600 having the rivits!
I wouldn't attempt to remove them. Just be carefull, and mabee apply some
masking tape in a way that it won't peel back. If a rag wheel gets the
oportunity to "grab and throw" your knob, IT WILL! Make sure that you hold
the knob so the skirt can't get caught into the wheel.
I will emphasize again that you should practice polishing junk objects
first. A good knob can instantly wind up broken on the floor.
I finally got my SP-600 after 20 years of wanting one. They probably have
the best Hi-Fi audio of any shortwave receiver. I use a radio shack public
address transformer to match a 12" speaker, and casually listen to a small
AM radio station every day with it.
