[Hammarlund] Dumb tuning question

I've had an HQ-180 in one form or another for years. I just love this ol
BA.

I've been SWL listening by just tuning around until something interesting
pops up. The longer I have it the more dumber (and embarrassed) I feel since
I really don't know how to tune it. I do the Amateur bands just not SW
broadcast.

The problem is, I'd like to follow some skeds but I'm not quite sure how to
'calibrate' the bandspread dial to the main tuning. Especially the 7.85 -
15.35 band since 7.3 - 13.80 is 'missing' on the bandspread.

For example, lets say I wanted to listen to Radio Canada @ 13660. So the
switch is set for the 7.85 - 15.35 segment, the main tuning to 13.660 and I
just 'hunt' a bit left/right using the bandspread till I find it?
