[Hammarlund] HX-500 Aux Connector results

This connector was originally manufactured by ELCO and called a varicon. 
 It could be assembled in modular fashion to provide as many contacts as 
desired and the contacts were genderless as one contact would mate 
another by rotating  one by 90 degrees.

AVX now has the varicon connector line but they do not make the size 
needed for the HX 500.  It looks like I will have to rummage through the 
boxes beneath the tables at the hamfests.

Thank you to the many that provided information, specially John K2AGI 
who worked his way behind his transmitter and then took the connector 
apart to look for information, Rolynn who found and forwarded catalog 
pages from an ancient book and Charlie N9SOR who got me going in the 
right direction to find manufacturers information.
