Hi Jim
>From what you describe it sounds like some how you have the HFO
on the wrong side of the IF feq. The reverse SSB say that. If you
have access to a Feq. Counter check your first mixer injection Feq.
on the band with low sensitivity. This can cause RF feq. tracking
problem. Also check the second VFO injection Feq. this also can
cause this on all band above 10 Mhz.. Also if you can get a RF Generator
and on 20/15/10 inject a 3035Khz signal into the first IF and adjust
the first IF. These are the bottom slugs. Also the S2F wafer switches
the IF from 455Khz to 3035Khz on 20/15/10 can cause low sensitivity.
The 1st IF is switched like the old Tube AM/FM radios.
I am shore from what you said that is where you problem is.. The HQ-180
got around that problem by putting in a 455Khz IF gate. But that also
can cause problems too.
