Hi Les,
I was wondering the same as Boomer, what did Leary do to the audio
secn?
And I agree, there are a few modified radios that we think are great,
like the Learys, but if we see something done to one of these classics by
Joe Average Ham, we shy away from it. That's 1 reason I'm not sure about
modifying my R-1511, but it's not much use as-is. It'd take some major
changes, but if done properly, might make a good band cruiser out of a
sow's ear.
On the other hand, some of us seek the old HB stuff, even if it's not
real pretty it's got a certain ambiance about it, and some do work real
well.
