This is primarily a test. I am new to this mailing list and as of now
have not received any mail.

I am the proud owner of an SP-600 model I don't know. A friend of mine,
a Canadian Naval officer,  attended a city auction where the city
dispose of lost bikes, impounded articles etc. At the end of the formal
auction the auctioneer had a number radios and ham equipment for sale.
Included in the radios were two SP-600s. He got them both for $30 CDN
which is about $19 US. Shortly after getting them home he found out that
he was transferred  to Colorado Springs for special duties there. He had
to sell his house and as a result had to dispose of some the larger ham
equipment. Being such a good friend, I graciously accepted his offer to
take one of the SP-600s off his hands. Cost to me will be a good bottle
of wine or a meal for him and his wife. I will be picking up the radio
in August.
