Hi group...Just wanted to chime in and say that my HQ-180 does a great job
on SSB. So does my HQ-110c, which is my Hammarlund "hamband only" rig. There
are some domestic and foreign stations that can be heard on "hamband only"
radios. I like to tune in Radio Netherlands on weekend afternoons on
21590khz on the HQ110. I play it through my hi-fi system and the audio is
outstanding. I met a guy at the local hamfest back in September who said he
he runs the audio of his HQ-180 into his computer. He said his software is
Scancat Gold and the Hq-180 after warm up does a great job of getting RTTY,
CW, ASCII, weather maps, satellite photos and so on. Has anyone on this list
tried using a boatanchor to receive digital signals on a computer software
