GE List. I am restoring a jx-17 and need the bottom cover for the RF
Turrent. What I have for trade is a SP-600 panel for probably a JX-1. It
came off a radio already parted out but it tuned from broadcast to 54mhz. I
don't know the 600 series at all because this is my 1st. The panel has a
small dent behind the rf gain control abt 1/16in. to 1/8in deep. The panel
has not been gouged. The is also a very very slight bend on the same side
at the top panel mounting hole going up. I think both can be easily
straighted. The dent using probably a 1x1 block and a hammer from the back
side and a little body filler if you want it perfect. I think the top
corner can be easily straightened with a vise and some cloth or leather to
prevent gouging the surface. Since I am stripping my jx-17 panel I can
strip this one at the same time - it does need to be repainted, that will be
ur problem. I use an aircraft paint stripper to remove the paint and a
power washer to dig out the paint in the lettering. I don't know if there
is any corrision under the paint but I can let u know if it is a concern.
The bottom cover I want needs to be able to be cleaned, no pitting. Do I
have any takers??? If no one has a bottom cover and needs it for a PERSONAL
RADIO we can probably find some other parts to trade.
