[Ham-Mac] Curious Fldigi - Kenwood TS2000 behavior - confirmed

I have confirmed that when transmitting, the "Read Smeter (SM;) command on
the Kenwood TS2000 returns the actual Power Out meter on the same scale
as the Smeter (a value of 30 means 100 watts output).
This does not appear to be documented in the manual I have.
I guess this is just a curiosity since Fldigi does not poll the Transceiver
while transmitting. Polling the Smeter while transmitting would seem a bit
odd. It may be behavior unique to the Kenwood TS2000. It would not
be helpful for running the TS2000/Fldigi remotely (via screen sharing on
the Mac Mini) as the output power is determined by the output level control
on the Signalink which is not manipulatable remotely. I suppose that if
this capability was available I could set the Signalink level for 100 watts
and then use the Power Level control to reduce the output power.
No one but me is probably interested in this so I am sorry to bother
your inbox. Peace.
