Ham Happiness - About two hours ago I made PSK-31 QSO using OS X 10.11.1 (build ID 15B42) that was recently released using fldigi-3.23.04 to the Kenwood TS-590S with a direct USB interface. Fldigi did not hang or freeze like it was doing with all previous builds of El Capitan.

I still get the WARNING message

Oct 22 14:47:13 Dicks-iMac fldigi[1291]: 14:47:13.936 WARNING: 140: This application, or a library it uses, is using the deprecated Carbon Component Manager for hosting Audio Units. Support for this will be removed in a future release. Also, this makes the host incompatible with version 3 audio units. Please transition to the API's in AudioComponent.h.

but it now works rather than hanging. The only thing I did was turn OFF the computer and turn it back on - go figure.

I filed a formal Bug Report on the fldigi issue on one of the early builds and something tells me Apple Engineering may have done some tweaking in the 15B42 build of OS X 10.11.1 that will give W1HKW some time to find a replacement for the deprecated Port Audio 19 used in fldigi.

Just worked a CW and RTTY station. It is nice to have fldigi working again.
