I have been trying to help Richard, N5XRD, with his K3/fldigi interface and I do not have a K3 so I could not help. If you are a K3 user, please reply to Richard N5XRD direct.

I had Dick download and install the Silicon Graphic USB to UART driver from http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/pages/usbtouartbridgevcpdrivers.aspx. When he opens the fldigi-3.21.76 Rig Control configuration panel, the SLAB_USBtoUART Device is not visible. Maybe the K3 uses a different device or maybe there is an issue with his recently repaired Mac by Apple?

He could use some help from a K3 user

Then it goes out of the SL and then to a USB port on the computer It has a volume control for both TX and RX/ volume. I have used it with the K3 for several years since I bought it. The RX seems to through to the computer with the volume control and it is still working fine. The TX control goes from the computer and usually show a PTT red llight on the SL and the red light on the K3. However now it shows the red light on the SL USB and the K3 but no power is shown on the power meter on the K3 or on the separate power meter. I am wondering if it is still working on TX?
