Hal - The issue is what I'm not seeing as I described in the note below…the crossed ellipse RTTY display is absolutely dark; the program launches successfully here in 10.8.5 and everything else functions correctly as far as I can tell.  I am using the latest version BTW and just did a fresh download install to verify.  The issue was reported on the cocoaModem board last year.

Caveat - I failed to mention that this is only true in the single RTTY modem selection…the display DOES function correctly in the dual-modem mode.  Chen acknowledged the issue but declined to address it…his guidance to me was to either boot into the last OS where I had a functioning app or use the dual-modem mode.

The single modem mode I think it much easier to use, especially the larger received text display.

The problem is not being able to properly tune in the signal in the single modem mode.
