[Ham-Mac] WSJT-X OS/X font size

TextEdit can store files as "plain text" (what you want) or
"rich text" (what you don't want.) I think if you select the
preference of rich text, it will assume .rtf rather than .txt.
TextEdit will also work with HTML files and preserve the HTML should
you start with <html> in your file.
I think that Apple ship the system with the Rich Text default as
Apple doesn't believe that many people use a Mac as an actual
Computer. I dread the day when they decide that IOS should be the
operating system across all platforms as that would blow away all
real uses of Macs as computers.
