[Ham-Mac] Mouse hovering on an Apple MacBook Air (trackpad)

Well, I checked the hover mode box in the logging section of UI
configuration and I get no popup. Mac OS 10.6.8 on a Mac Mini. It
may be an OS version issue, not a mouse/trackpad issue.
