You can edit the CAT port in the wsjtx.ini file, under the USER label.  You
put your info in there (in your case /dev/tty.usbserial-AD02DV1X) and then
select User port under the CAT setup area of the preferences.

In any case, there are multiple ways to skin a CAT (pun intended) and you
got it working, so that's that.
