CrossOver is the commercial arm of WINE. I prefer it simply because it tends to be more stable and gets new features earlier (like selectable audio input/output) and the support of crossover supports the entire WINE project.
The JT apps will not run in WINE or Crossover...at least I haven't been able to get them to do so, although it has even a while since I tried.
