[Ham-Mac] Alpha versus distribution versions

There has been some talk of various versions of fldigi etal on the 
groups.  Please remember if you are running a version of the software 
with an alpha suffix such as 3.22.0CA you are using alpha software.  
Almost guaranteed to break in some way.  The purpose of making these 
versions available is specifically to find and plug the holes before 
making the new functionality available to the general user base.  Do not 
expect to be running an alpha version and receive a valid response to a 
version query.
