[Ham-Mac] Problem Installing FTDI USBSerialDriver

"Adding" and "Removing" are not the same thing as "installing" and "installing". And, USB-serial drivers are not the same thing as USB-UART drivers.

Read what I wrote. Your FTDI serial driver is installed and working. The device on the other (serial) side of the adapter is not working.

AMSerial error code 100 means that the attempt to read the response to the Winkeyer echo test admin command has timed out with nothing read. That tells me that the serial driver is working and the device itself is not: either it doesn’t fully implement the Winkeyer command set, or it is in a bad state. If it were a real Winkeyer I’d advise you to learn how to reset it.
