Hi Elwood,
I am trying CocaModem first. I have a side tone and have set
CocaModem to Wideband CW, and the input to built in line input (I
also tried setting system preferences to built in line input). I can
hear the sidetone in my earphones (I have break-in off in the radio),
however I don't see a vertical yellow area on the waterfall. What am
I doing wrong?

>CocoaModem ( see
>http://homepage.mac.com/chen/w7ay/cocoaModem/index.html ) can do
>this without any wires,
>just using the built in mic on your computer, assuming you can set
>up your radio to produce an audible side
>tone. Just start cocoamodem, select the CW pane, use the Config
>panel to set up to use your internal mic for
>input, then you will start to see a vertical yellow area
>representing your "signal" start crawling up the
>waterfall. Click there and it will start to display decoded CW text.
