[Ham-Mac] new iMac problems

I had similar bad luck between a G4 Mini (10.4.11) and an Intel Mini (10.6.4).  Apple support said it probably wouldn't work when the OSs were more than one version apart.   Copying files and apps probably took a bit longer but worked quite well.
