Hi Dick,

First, you're probably fine just to leave it be.  But, if it's giving you trouble you could look in /System/Library/Extensions or rummage around in /System/Library to see if you can find anything relevant.  Actually, you do have a /dev folder, the home of Unix device drivers.  The MacOS is, after all, an enhanced Unix system.  You can't get at the Unix file system from thew Finder, but you can access it by using Applications/Utilities/Terminal.  Once you run Terminal you will be looking at the underlying Unix file system.  If you then issue a command "ls /dev" it will show you a list of the device drivers in /dev.  To go farther than that, you will need to familiarize yourself some with Unix commands and its file system.  I myself would not remove anything from /dev without understanding what might want to call it.   If you find the relevant files in /System/Library and remove them, you can probably leave /dev alone.
