Run Parallels in coherence mode and Windows apps appear on screen lust like any other app and you move between them like and other app - more-or-less seams Windows on OXS.
However the other screen does provide more real-estate, but it takes up more real-estate on your desk too!

Patience serves as a protection against wrongs as clothes do against cold.
For if you put on more clothes as the cold increases, it will have no power to hurt you.
So in like manner you must grow in patience when you meet with great wrongs,
and they will then be powerless to vex your mind.

I recently added a second monitor, and it is possible to dedicate the second monitor to Parallels so you can have both things in front of you at the same time. Really slick! The hardest part about the 2nd monitor thing is finding the right connector to go from your Mac to a VGA plug.
