Mike,

Be sure that any external USB devices are plugged in before starting  
cocoaModem.  Otherwise, the program will revert to whatever resources  
are available at that time.  I would also suggest joining the  
cocoaModem Yahoo group: if you continue having a problem someone there  
(including W7AY) should be able to help.
