Hello to all,

I would like to announce the creation of a Yahoo group dedicated to
cocoaModem and related topics. This group was created to provide a
forum for the exchange of ideas and information for using the
features of cocoaModem and importantly, to provide a repository for
user contributed files and photos describing how hams have
successfully matched the various commercial transceivers to Macs to
use cocoaModem. Additionally, it will allow discussion of
interfacing cocoaModem to other software applications that are
interoperable with cocoaModem (e.g., MacLoggerDX, TS4K, RUMPed,
Aether) It is my hope that this resource will encourage more hams
with Macs to get active on PSK, RTTY, and the other digital modes.
These are good days for Mac users, so let's get more Macs on the
bands! At the moment membership is open to all and will remain so
unless we have problems with spammers and other vermin.

The URL for the group is here:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cocoamodem/

You can subscribe by sending an email to this address:
cocoamodem-subscribe at yahoogroups.com

Please pass this information on to anyone that you think might be
interested in participating.

To get the ball rolling, I am putting together a description of my
setup of cocoaModem with a G4 iBook and a Yaesu FT-817.

73 and hope to see you all join,
Mike McShan N5JKY
