This is the heart of the issue.  DOS programs I have
used (CT and TRLog for example) use that file.  As
far as I know all of the major logging and contest
programs use it.

There are some ham geeks that maintain that file.
Unless MLDX uses it, they can't make use of the
data.  That is a shame, indeed.
