[Ham-Mac] Daylight Saving Time change Hosed

No, well, actually it was to allow folks who do not have a net
connection to be able to set their date and time for the system.
It also applies to those inside a network that does not have a time
server nor allows access to the outside world.
Think of how we used to set system time about ten or so years ago...
My worry about the change is the millions of non-pc embedded systems
that use a time chip which is hard-coded to what we have been used to
for the last three decades. Traffic lights, VCRs and thousands of
similar devices come to mind. For these devices we will go through
more problems in about three weeks. I just hope traffic commutes in
the morning go well...
