Smitty:

I am in complete agreement with you. This is another one of those 
urban myths that are totally unsupported by any reputable research. 
It is in the same category as the "power lines cause cancer" myth of 
the 70's and 80's.

As for XM radio, the radio itself does not radiate anything. The FM 
modulator that feeds a signal into the car radio has a power output 
on the order of 5 to 10 mw. This is essentially harmless.

Much ado about nothing.
