I'm trying to use KC8UNJ's VX-7 Commander from Parallels, using a
Keyspan USA-19HS USB-serial converter. I have previously used the
same cable, radio, and software on a Dell PC with a fixed serial
port. I have Parallels set up with SerialClient (http://eudyptes.com/
SerialClient.php) using these instructions:
http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20070111135928615
To do this, I have to hardcode the comm parameters (buad, etc) in
SerialClient. I did this successfully with some BuTel scaner
programming software, but I can set the baud rate explicitly in that
software. There is no provision in VX-7 Commander to set the baud
rate. So far all I've been able to get is timeout errors with this
radio.
Has anyone else used this configuration? Or do you have a suggestion
for the baud rate to use?
