Gents - - -  I'm (very mildly!) interested in the discussion on 
wireless "mice" (Well, ok. wireless mouse-es) for the Mac.

Seems from the discussion, that some of you use a wireless 'mouse' 
even tho the mouse is near the computer. I don't see the need for a 
wireless mouse if it sits on the same desk. What am I missing?
