Hi Dino,

I screwed around wasting time with my G4 and OSX over sleep issues. I had
no problem getting to sleep; however, the OSX sleep would turn into a deep
coma and the only wakeup was a restart. Some time ago I moved the
Energy Saver/Sleep slider to "Never" and never had another problem. The
lower slider for the display works fine.

I forgot about the OSX sleep issue and it bit me in the butt with the new
20" iMac 2.4 GHz Intel Core2 Duo machine. I was using the OSX migration
to transfer my stuff from the G4 to the new iMac and the iMac went to sleep
and totally hose the transfer.  I had to restart and do it all over again;
and this time I remembered and move Sleep slider to Never.

There are not many new rules in Mac OSX just old rules we forget that jump
up and bite us. There are a number of OSX sleep related issues and causes
that will cause you to waste hours. Your time is better spent looking for
DX.

The new iMac "Sleep" is set to "Never" and I have no plan to mess with it
until OSX 10.5 is released.
