I have used Bittorrent v. 4.0.2 several times with no problems (ports  
6881-6885 are forwarded to my Mac by my Netgear wireless router).   
Echomac also is working fine here.  I see that the latest version at  
<http://www.bittorrent.com> is 4.4.1, so I guess I should upgrade.
