You are correct. I had VPC on my Mac and it didn't run the software 
well at all.  I finally bought a laptop so that I could upgrade my 
(then) Orion with the PC.  I also tried it with VPC on the Mac and 
after 17 minutes I figured that something was wrong.  It sure was, it 
took out my chip and I had to send it back to TT for fixing and 
upgrade.  It worked great after that and I had no trouble upgrading 
with the PC.  TT thought that there was something wrong with the 
timing with VPC.  At any rate - don't do it with VPC.

Keyspan serial adapter worked just fine with the Mac and also with 
the PC.  I run PSK on the Mac with CocaModem and the Keyspan and 
SignaLink SL-1+ and it works like a charm.
