Lew K6LMP,
Please read my last message about closing the PTT line. The PC world loves
the rigblaster; however, I think it requires a serial port to your rig to
close the PTT line thus requiring something like a USB to Serial adapter.
The SL-1 is less expensive and does NOT require a serial port to close the
PTT.
I have no interest in Tigertronics or SignaLink. I just like and use there
SL-1+. Check it out at
http://www.tigertronics.com/index.htm
I was going to buy a RigBlaster and called the company for support and they
all but hung up on me when they found out I was Mac user.
Be very careful if you go down the RigBlaster path with a Mac. You will
see all kinds of rigblasters on swap lists and on eBay. I have only seen a
few SL-1's for sale. SignaLink user them keep them or sell a SL-1 to get an
SL-1+. Think about it.
