If you would like to follow the trials, tribulations and joys of
writing not only Safari but also Webkit (the API which allows
developers to get web page rendering basically for free... Webkit is
also the used for Widgets and iTunes and more). Then have a look at
these blog which hold the comments of the lead developers at Apple.

http://webkit.opendarwin.org/blog/

You will find an older archived (< July 2005) BLOG here http://
weblogs.mozillazine.org/hyatt/

Webkit/Safari (http://webkit.opendarwin.org/) are also based on open
source work KHTML/KDE so contributions flow back and forth from Apple
and that community.

This may not interest to many but interesting read perhaps to some
about some of decisions made and for what reasons.

Filling in the Bug reports is a very good thing!!! They all get
looked at! They are very interested in hearing and correcting problems!
Easiest way to report a bug is to go to that web sight and under the
Safari menu select "Report Bugs to Apple...". Very easy as Safari
will do all the work of generating the needed tech info the bug
report you just have to type a description of the issue.
