[Ham-Mac] New to EchoMac - Using the external mic?

Hi Dino:

I think this might be your problem....

Skype has the ability for you to select which audio input port (and
output port) you want to use. You likely set these preferences in
Skype and it uses them everytime you run it. EchoMac use the System
Default ports for sound in and out only.

If you change the system default port it will use that next time you
run EchoMac. I think it this way as it a UNIX port using a sound
library which is not quite a savvy as the native Mac sound control (but
this is a guess.)

The simplest way to change the default port is in the System
Preferences (under Apple Menu) and select Sound. This are set default
port in/out of the computer.

For a more detailed view and choices there is a utility in the
Utilities Folder called Audio Midi Setup. The Audio tab is the one you
want to look if you use that utility.

Anyway I do hope this solves your problem as both programs do run very
well!
