I am not seeing that here on several different computers.

Wow! - this is the first time that I have heard of any trouble with  
the new FTDI driver.

Did you try removing and then reinstalling the driver ?

Which microHAM device are you using ?

Did you try unplugging all the other devices on your USB Bus ?

Are there relevant entries in the crash or panic logs ? (console app)
