Interesting discussions taking place. But I do have one question, while

Instead of owning or running MacJanitor, I simply schedule my eMAC to
come on every weekday morning at 0300. By doing that, does that mean
that I am automatically performing the Periodic Maint. at 0315 that you
are stating above from the Terminal?? I've never been able to get a
clear handle on this issue.
When it comes up, I do hear a few clicks here and there, that lasts for
about fifteen seconds or so. I would presume that it is doing the
maint.
