And we should stress they are minor. I really appreciate the work
Steve did bringing EchoLink to the Mac, and setting up the SourceForge
project to archive and distribute the source code. I don't have any
ambitious plans for EchoMac, but welcome suggestions, bug reports (and
participation!).
A few months ago there were a couple of user interface quirks that
bugged me, so I grabbed the source and was able to fix them. More
recently I wanted to add (optional) Growl <http://growl.info/>
notifications for some events (since EchoMac typically gets buried on
my desktop). You can get the source files directly from the head of
the SourceForge project CVS tree. I've also built a test binary for
10.2 and 10.3 which is available from
<http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=93900>
Don Argo of Dog Park Software has generously offered to continue
hosting future versions of EchoMac, but I'd like a little feedback
before passing him an "official" release.
I've also started on some Help Files, but the only issue that has come
up repeatedly on this list is using EchoMac with a firewall and/or
router, so the Help is quite meagre. If there was an issue that have
troubled you getting EchoMac going, please mail me and we'll document
it so that it doesn't trip up others.
